After having taken Professor Wang’s course for a couple of weeks, several reflections I would propose are as follows:
1. First, one of my concerns to a large degree related to bilingual education is “Is it a favor for students with low abilities to get extra grades from an examination?” The problem is the government usually looks down on those inferior people. The professor doesn’t think it’s a favor from a critical analysis perspective. The government needs to politically support the minority group.
2. Second, if L1 learner’s mother tongue (L1) is too dominated, it is scientifically and theoretically plausible to say why slow learners or low achievers may not be able to learn L2 (target language) well.
